Alloy Steel:
EN24 – 817M40

A Chrome-Nickle-Moly steel high tensile strength, toughness and good hardenability. Capable of being treated to produce good tensile strengths. Used for a comprehensive range of General Engineering parts. Often used in Engineering, Automotive and Aerospace applications, particularly for high-stress components.

TYPICAL USES
Automobile main shafts, axle steel shafts, connecting rod bolts, synchronising cones, push rods, studs, differential shafts, motorcycle kick starter rachets, pinion sleeves, mandrel bars for tube manufacturing, gun barrels, breech mechanism parts, high duty engine connecting rods, high temperature bolts in oil refining and steam installations, various parts of machine tools such as spindle gears, compensating washers, power transmission gears, slide racks, and slide cams.
